Mary A. Rappazzo is a Los Angeles-based Digital Illustrator and Graphic Designer with more than 19 years of professional experience in digital art, combined with 20+ years experience in graphic design.  Mary was a digital artist at Disney Consumer Products for 12 years.  In 2012, she expanded her business, 1 Eye Art & Design.  She currently serves a broad variety of clients including Disney, City of Los Angeles, and major publishing houses.  She also works with small businesses and individuals with special projects.

In Digital Illustration, Mary specializes in digital art: inking, vectorizing, coloring, and airbrushing character arts, props, icons, backgrounds for the consumer product and entertainment industries.  Projects would entail licensing products, animation, theme parks, toys, apparel, children’s books, games and video games. She takes concepts or pencils, and turns them into reality: a rendered, painterly, or vectorized dimensional illustration alive, colorful and expressive.  She has knowledge in Maya with “character art” modeling and rigging.

Expertise: inking, coloring, 2D/3D airbrushing/painting, vectoring art and design, and conceptual drawings.
Technical skills: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign; Maya; Wacom Cintiq.

In Graphic Design, she does design and layout for a variety of materials: logos, brochures, invitations, posters, postcards, email ads, web ads, newsletters, business cards, presentation graphics, marketing collateral, CD covers, book covers, and package design.  With web design, she uses WordPress and Dreamweaver to design and build pages tailored to client specifics.

Additional expertise: digital image editing, photo retouching, color correction (CMYK/RGB).

She has a B.A. degree in Graphic Design with a Minor in Painting.

In her spare time, she loves gardening, movies, travel and fine dining with close friends and family.
